Andrew's Heart

Andrew was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot when I was 20 weeks pregnant. He was born 6 weeks premature and endured his first open heart surgery at 6 days old, weighing just under 4lbs. His full repair surgery occurred at 7 months of age. Andrew has had several cardiac catheterization procedures to attempt to widen his narrow pulmonary arteries. He has 3 stents and faces more caths and surgeries in his future. Andrew was also diagnosed with a mild to moderate hearing loss shortly after his birth and wears hearing aids. Andrew is full of spunk and zest for life and I love nothing more than to blog about our family and the adventures of our little monkey.
